Progetto SEMI_Accurate Measurement System for Power Quality Monitoring in a Real Grid Context
(IEEE, 2020-10-26) Castello, Paolo; Murenu, Alberto; Pegoraro, Paolo Attilio; Sulis, Sara; Università degli Studi di Cagliari
This paper presents a complete measurement system for accurate and synchronized power quality monitoring in a real distribution grid context. The system has been designed to monitor both medium voltage and low voltage levels in industrial sites in the region of Sardinia, Italy. It is composed of two complete measurement chains including suitable transducers, permitting the monitoring of the quality of the power supply to be obtained, and synchronization capabilities. The system was designed to meet the needs of real industrial plants where distributed generators are installed as is now common in modern distribution grids. The validity of the system has been verified on the field in an industrial site close to the city of Cagliari, Italy.

Progetto DigitArch_ A comparison of hologram plane coding and object plane coding on di erent types of holograms
(Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), 2020-04-01) Corda, Roberto; Song, Wei; Liotta, Antonio; Perra, Cristian; Università degli Studi di Cagliari - Dipartimento di Ingegneria Elettrica ed Elettronica (DIEE)
Digital holography is an imaging technique with great potential, that allows the acquisition and the reproduction of the entire wavefield of light. A big challenge in this field is the development of efficient coding tools, due to the different hologram data characteristics compared to standard multimedia content. This work presents an experimental comparison between two different coding techniques: the well-known hologram plane coding and the less-investigated object plane coding. In order to identify advantages and limitations of each method, but also to determine if the object plane coding could be an effective alternative to the more simple hologram plane coding, different types of holograms are employed, analyzing and discussing the obtained results.
